Position Overview:
JBK Landscape is seeking a skilled and creative Landscape Designer to plan, design, and oversee new construction and renovation in commercial landscape. This role is critical in ensuring the success of our landscape design initiatives by delivering thoughtful and code-compliant designs.

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, design, and manage construction and renovation projects for JBK Landscape’s commercial and residential clients.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, construction drawings, and technical specifications for assigned projects.
- Create innovative landscape designs and layouts for commercial properties, considering client needs, site conditions, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor project progress in the field to ensure compliance with plans, construction standards, regulations, and accessibility requirements.
- Perform comprehensive site evaluations and environmental assessments to inform design strategies, with an emphasis on sustainability and ecological impact.
- Engage with clients to gather project objectives, budget considerations, and design requirements, offering expert recommendations and maintaining consistent communication throughout the process.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure projects are executed efficiently from concept through completion.
- Incorporate sustainable practices such as water-efficient systems, the use of native vegetation, and environmentally responsible materials into each landscape project.
- Coordinate with account managers, contractors, and allied professionals to ensure cohesive integration of landscape elements within the overall project framework.
- Ensure all project designs comply with applicable zoning regulations, environmental guidelines, and industry standards.
- Support the construction phase by conducting site visits, monitoring project progress, and ensuring faithful execution of the approved design plans.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the department leadership.
Required Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in landscape architecture, with a focus on commercial projects
- Must have exceptional knowledge of Colorado native, non-native perennials, shrubs, trees, annuals and specimen plant material
- Strong proficiency with design software such as AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, or similar tools
- Knowledge of local zoning regulations and permitting processes
- Experience in sustainable design, including water management and plant selection
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
- Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to travel to job sites as needed
- Valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
- Professional Landscape Architect license (or in progress)
- Degree in Landscape Architecture or similar field
- Sustainability or any other related certifications
